I'm about to start a small experiment with
creatine supplementation. I do very well on creatine. Every time I go on it my strength goes up noticeably and I gain about 4 lbs in a week (
mostly water but nevertheless). Basically, I respond well to it. What I'll try is to alternate weeks of creatine supplementation with weeks off. The rationale is this. When I get my creatine I get the strength boost for a week (some effects will linger into the following week) and then the challenge becomes to
at least duplicate what I did in the creatine week during the off week. That way I'll know I'm pushing myself as hard as I can and if I manage I'll move my non-creatine strength up a little. Then, it's just a matter of doing it all over again. I will be using fairly large amounts of creatine for this (15-20g) just to see how it works.
