And then it will probably be evident that you need to eat more, or at least do some major tweeking. 2-4g of fat a day?!?!

The only way to get an accurate profile of your diet is to write down everything you eat for a week. With this info you can find out exactly how much food you really consume. From there you will know exactly what changes you need to make in order to gain some weight.

well if your truly only eating 2-4 grams of fat PER DAY, I would say start there as that seems quite low to me... and it's possibly a good hint that your diet is truly not in order as other's have suggested...

my meal plan

here we go.
am. wake up, have a multi vitamin, a "weider daily vitamin pack"(5pills hunndreds of ingredients!), 2x vitamin c, washin it all down with a giant glass of OJ. Then i mix a protein shake with water. (ive tried many protiens/weight gainers, but my fav is unflavored designer whey protein.) The shake usually has between 20 - 40g protein in it (depending on how many scoops i use, usually closer to 40g) I drink the shake and then immediately make another one and put that in the fridge for later. Then I have a large bowl (almost a whole box) of special K with either strawberries or bannanas (usually a whole bannana) I use zero-fat fit-milk in my cereal. (im not big on breakfast i usually have to force all this stuff down.)

noon-ish. First, I drink the nice cold protein shake I have waiting in the fridge then immediately make another and and put it in the fridge again. Then usually I will have a LARGE turkey sandwich on bulkie roll with 1 slice of swiss cheese. Then i will eat an enormous salad with non-fat italian dressing that I make myself. And I sometimes will finish whatever leftover vegetables i find in the fridge(corn, carrrots, peas, green beans, broccoli....etc)During lunch, I would estimate that I drink between 1/2gallon and 1 gallon of water.

then its time to get ready to go to the gym.
i grab a giant bottle of water. (yes im one of those guys that has the bottle of water at the gym!) I usually eat a protein bar and grab the protein shake out of the fridge and get in the car. I workout at the gym taking sips of water whenever i feel the need. I usually spend between 45mins to 2hrs at the gym depending on how im feeling or what exercises im doing. (I train pretty hard too, you're just gonna hafta take my word for it!) Then, for some reason, I always wash my hands b4 I leave. And then, out in the car on the ride home i drink the 3rd protein drink and occasionally grab a energy bar at the gym.

pm. usually a whole chicken with a plain baked potato (sometimes with non-fat sour cream.) An enormous salad, and usually 2 different veggies (corn, broccoli, carrots, green beans) sometimes it's pork chops and very rarely it's steak. Then another protein shake.

post pm. still usually hungry. im telling you I eat like an animal. (all ENORMOUS portions) if i can find anything left in the fridge ill eat it. if not, a protein bar will have to do.

then i start it all over the next day. Sometimes it's not easy. Especially because i weigh 140 and im eating like a 400lb Pro Linebacker at training camp.

my protein intake is usually somewhere between 150 and 300g per day

is my diet flawed? help!

I cant see how it could be my diet. I must have some sort of freakish metabolism. If anyone else ate and trained like I did, they would be MASSIVE! So, i guess im looking for suggestions for suppliments, vitamins, roids, eating dirt, eating the left testicle of a south american wart-hog, ANYTHING!!!!!

Diet is by far not the best I've ever seen, however if you have been eating like that day in day out for the past 9 years I fail to see how you've only managed to only put on 10lbs, infact that would be near enough impossible even for someone with a high end metabolism. Follow Ironman's advice.

I agree with Lee, if you eat just like that everyday then you should be able to gain some size. However, despite the amount of food you are eating, your calories still may not be very high, you can eat tons of chicken without taking in a whole lot of calories. Therefore what you are saying is that this daily amount of food you are eating is your maintenence intake if you arent actually gaining any weight. So what does that mean? Eat more! eat some steak, get some damn fat in there, sorry that you have to eat more bro, but if you arent gaining any then you arent eating enough. Personally I dont believe you've at just like that and trained hard for 9 years, but hey, do what you gotta do.

and i should also add that my diet has not been that strict for the whole 9 years......i didn't start eating healthy when i was 17! In fact when i first started lifting, I would stop at McDonalds drive thru and get 2 quarter pounder value meals on the way to the gym! I started eating healthier when i was about 19, but still thats 6 years if downing protein shakes, weight gainers and any other crappy health-food-store bull****! like i said, it's gotta be some kind of freakish metabolism. I wish I could figure out what I need, but apparently it's a big mystery.

its not a mystery, if you arent gaining anything than you arent bulking. Go on a bulking diet... simple, its not like there is no end to what you can burn, just eat MORE
