I think the creatine is helping

Hey guys, thanks for the posts and all the advice.. I just got home from the gym and have to say i was pleased with my performance today. I felt good and pretty energized considering i didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night unfortunately.. Well ive been kind of embarassed to tell my story, but here goes.. i got into strength training in april of 2001.. when i started training i weighed nearly 200 pounds and could barely lift a pathetic 115.. I dieted that summer and around that august(2001) my weight was down to 170 and my max had risen to around 150.. when i left school this previous may 2002 i maxed 185 at 169.. I had high hopes of pushing past the 200 barrier at a weight of right around 170 this summer, but for awhile i really hit a plateau. About a month ago i felt i was starting to get stronger... last week (July 22) on my last set i got 175 for 2 and a half and nearly got caught on trying for the third rep, since i was embarassed to ask for a spot from a big guy. I started loading saturday and today i did sets of 3.. On my next to last set i did 175 for 3 without much trouble and for my last set i did 180 for about 2.5, even though my spotter said i got three, i think he helped me too much... Anyways this is no huge improvement, but i definitely could feel something extra in my tank, that wasn't their before a couple days ago.. My spotter said it would take about 2 weeks to really see something... o well we will see.. I know my numbers aren't too impressive, but im glad to see myself improving slowly but surely.. i consider if i gain 15-20 pounds a yr. on my major lifts that could pretty impressive by the time i am 30.. Have to think long term i guess... Im continuing to drink lots of water like iron advised and the side effects have been very minimal... hope this is helpful to those considering creatine for the 1st time.. best of luck to everybody!
