im noticed negative side effects from creatin
im on the loading cycle right now, my maintenance cycle starts on monday. I started using creatine a day or 2 ago, but today was the first day I used it while working out (I had a Navy DEP meeting yesterday, so didnt work out). I got really woosey and was sweating alot. I also noticed that I couldn't lift as much as normal. I had to drop 5-10lbs off what I did last week, on everything, and still struggled to do that! I also have a sore throat, but thats from my gf getting me sick. Is the woosyness from that too? or from creatine? I was told my body would take a little while to get used to it, and that could be why. Anyone else experience any problems with creatine? or do you think its just my sickness?

After the first time I loaded with creatine, I got cramps - just in my lats...strange, I know. Am still not sure if it was because of not being hydrated enough, or not enough sodium intake, or just the lat pulldown exercise I was doing, or even if my lats were just weak (I suspect the latter 2). Good old 'Tiger Balm' was used often, along with many curses!

you should try w/o loading creatine - very likely you wont notice a difference
side effects of creatine usually last a very short time - maybe a week or so - and are pretty much limited to cramping and diarhea (sp?).
what you experience didnt come from creatine

Yeah, I didn't think so myself, in hindsight. Probably just weak lat muscles (but I still somewhat suspect the loading phase of creatine had a 'little' something to do with it). Haven't loaded with it since - don't think it's all that necessary. Thanks.

Were you dropped on your head when you were young, or are you just naturally rude and obnoxious?

I never had any results from Creatine other than headaches and an empty wallet.

Psstt ... wanna know a little secret? The initial loading phase is not necessary with creatine. Taking all that creatine several times a day is just a way for the supplement companies to suck you into their scam - the more you use during the loading phase, the quicker you'll run out ... and (you guessed it!) the quicker you'll be back in the supplement store buying more creatine.
Bottom line: If your body needs the creatine, it will readily absorb it; if it doesn't, it will be excreted.
This is a little secret that the pros have shared with me, and I find it to be very true. So, I thought I'd pass it on to you all.
