Insosine, Creatine and . . . ?

I've been reading a few body building books. And have most enjoyed Weider's "Ultimate BodyBuilding" book. It's very comprehensive.

The problem is that I"m not sure if I should trust his supplement reccomendations. After all, he makes a market in these things. They are part of his profit center. Of course, that is the same problem with many magazines, etc.

So, I'm asking my fellow DF'rs - - - what type of supplement program would you suggest for me?

Female
lifting three on - one off
weigh 139 pounds (yes gained weight since I've been lifting heavily)
limited budget
want to keep it as simple as possible

I want to build muscle and reduce fat. Not trying to get scrawny

If you're wanting the basics, there's a few that I'll usually recommend to people that are all pretty safe.

You need a good protein powder
You should take some flax seed oil, or something similar
You should take a good multivitamin

If you want to look muscular and don't mind retaining water, creatine is one of the most effective supplements for me. I find I can usually do another 1-2 heavy reps while on creatine, that I can't otherwise. It also gives me a nice psychological boost (from appearance) which helps me as well.

There's my .02 for ya.

Its heathly fats for your body. It helps your body burn fat and speed metabolism. I heard its also good for recovering and for your knees. I take 6 a day and rarely get sore anymore.
