Question

Instant Mass supplement?! (NEED ADVICE)

Hello peeps,
Been using Reflex instant whey, and have seen solid progress so far, my tube is almost finished though, reckon in a day or 2 itll be gone... i was surifng on the page of this brand that i bought, reflex nutrition, which I think is fairly cheap and quite good tasting, hasnt given me the sh*ts or anything
when i went to their page I stumbled upon this product of them
Called Instant Mass, it says its got the normal whey contents of the instant whey container, but has zma and some other stuff...

================================================== ======
65 Grams of Maltodextrin

You will NOT find any added sugar or dextrose in this formula. We only use maltodextrin, a vital source of energy to replace lost glycogen after strenuous work-outs, preferred by professionals it's the No.1 source for your energy needs.

ZMA and NAC for Strength and Gains in Size.

No weight gain formula today is complete without this clinically proven duo. ZMA has shown to raise testosterone levels by over 33% and increase strength by over 11% in strength trained athletes. The addition of N-Acetyl-Cysteine further enhances gains by maintaining plasma cysteine levels - a key factor in building muscle tissue.

================================================== =======

Do you think I should stick with the instant whey or with this one?

One thing I know for sure is that in uni, I am not able to eat properly everyday, which i regret, i try to make a full meal whenever possible but sometimes just aint. So i was thinking of switching over to instant mass

Any ideas?[size=1]

I prefer the plain whey. The extra carbs in the weight gainer are only good for you post workout. Maltodextrin vs dextrose....there really isn't too much difference between the two, so don't believe the ad copy. As for the ZMA - you are better off taking that on an empty stomach before going to bed. That is when it has been shown to be most effective. As for the NAC, I'm not sure what the effective dose is supposed to be, but most "all in one" products rarely have the optimum amount needed.

I agree 100% with Ironman. Taking in the maltodextrine in a non-post workout situation is just screaming fat gain due to high insulin spike when it is not needed.

Stick with the whey. If you want weight gainers - try making your own in the form of a shake or something similar. There are a couple of good recipes on the board and they are cheaper and healthier then most weight gainers.
