interesting thought/realization on supps.

personally i believe and know there are supplements that do help in different ways to produce, maintain and heal muscles.

think about this though. the "mental" part of lifting is one of the most important factors in lifting and putting on size, strength. when you buy a supplement you buy it with that mentality of "this is gonna make me grow". in affect raising your mental concentration and also raising your intensity. what am i saying?

if you could keep your mentality and intensity at say the same type of level, thought pattern as taking supplements BUT not taking any at all how much of a difference would the supplements make? interesting thought i thought. would be interesting to see someone try this out.

I would like to think that this method has been used in a vast majority of studies involving the effectiveness of a certain supplement. It's called the placebo effect.

How about this: I'll sell you a bottle of ephedra pills (Labrada's Charge) for only $50. You use them for a month and then I'll tell you whether you got the real thing or just sugar pills. Sound OK?

All kidding aside, I think that it tends to be the other way around. Yes, there will be some increase in concentration in most trainees when on a certain supplement but I also see a lot of people who expect nothing short of miracles in a can who get discouraged when creatine (or any other supp) hasn't made them huge in 10 days (it said so in the ad dammit!!). People expect too much from their supps most of the time and that measn they set themselves up for failure.
