Is it worth using supplements?

With a huge increase in the number of types and outlets of supplements, I come to find myself asking if we even need them?! Personally I've never used them and think you can get just enough from a healthy diet. What are the advantages of using them? Please explain

Yes supplements work! There is no way you would be able to get really big without using them. I know there are a lot of crap ones out there, but there are also some good ones. It just takes a while to learn which is which.

Does anyone else reading this use them? Which ones can you recommend - I'm always happy to try a new one.

Some people have said the new prohormone 1-AD is very good. As always, creatine and glutamine work well. The thermogenics help with weight loss. Do you have any questions on specific supplements?

Question

OK - I am sure you've all heard (or had yourself) this question - dan45 says it takes some time to learn which supplements are good and which are not, and how to use them effectively so, where do we get the right information to figure this out? I'm getting serious with my training, want to get much bigger, but have a hard time sorting through the bull**** on supplements (e.g. many internet resources seem to be commercially driven). Any ideas are welcome.

You have a point about he hype, Hunk. Guess the best a person can do is look for studies on certain supplements rather than advertising. Talking with others who have used something will generally let you know whether or not a product is worth spending money on. The one thing that I have found that the more something is hyped the less it tends to work. Just remember -- buyer beware.

Absolutely

Since finding AM-300 my life has totally changed. I look and feel like a new person. I lost 60 pounds, gained incredible energy and have received many other health benefits as well. It has been the best thing to ever happen to me. They are made of 15 herbs and minerals.

I have personally met many people whose lives and health have been totally changed. I met one woman who had lost 345 pounds because of AM-300. If anyone wants to know more, I would more than glad to help you.

Ipic, I have never heard of AM-300. One can assume that it is a diet aid. Is it a thermogenic? An appetite suppressant? The claims seem pretty far fetched, but I am interested in what you have to say about it.

Yes, It is

Yes, it is a thermogenic...it raises your body temp by 1/4 of a degree and speeds up your metabolic rate big time.

Like you I had not heard of it either until I found it on the Internet 2 years ago. It totally changed my life. There are over 100,000 distributors and the company was just listed by Fortune Small Business Magazine as the 31st fastest growing small business in America. They are also listed with THe American Stock Exchange. THey offfer a full line on nutritional and skin care supplements including the worlds no. 1 Anti-Stress product Prime One.
