Is there enough sugar in milk to deliver creatine?

I searched on this and couldn't find anything...

I know milk has some sugars - but is there really enough to deliver the creatine? Also if mixed with protein (such as whey) will there be enough sugar in an 8oz serving to deliver both?

No to both questions, in order to increase uptake of it(insulin spike) you need to get way more sugar than you are thinking.

So is it useless to take creatine and protein without sugar - or will it get in my system just slower?

You need to get about 20-40 grams of sugars for a good insulin spike, and that you will not get with milk. Gatorade or something sugary like "smarties" will help out a great deal. Keep in mind that you only want one spike per day right after lifting, or you'll just end up adding fat.
