Is this a good stack?

My husband has been lifting and now wants to use a supplement to improve his workout. I have read on a few bodybuilding sites that the stack of andro/tribulus/DHEA is a good stack for energy and for perpetuating the body's own testosterone. Has anyone used this and have you had good results?

How old is your husband? I personally wouldn't mess around with stuff like andro or DHEA. Tribulus is Ok, though. It's not a pro-hormone. It just fools your body into producing more testosterone...IF you already have lower levels..I may add.

how old is your husband and how long has he been lifting.

personally, if he wants prohormones, i suggest start with just 1-ad and mid range doses. i wouldnt do anything fancy the first time - i'd also suggest doing some serious research on the stuff before he uses it.

Stay away from Andro. Dhea only if he is over 40 and even then that is pretty iffy.

Like casanova suggests, have him look into prohormones like 1 ad, 4 ad, and 1 test. They have been getting good reviews for being effective.

the reason to avoid andro is that it really is not effective, it is incredibly expensive, and there are negative side effects.

1. Stay away from DHEA...
2. Do not take tribulus and prohormones at the same time... that could really make your nuts go crazy
3. andro is not ALL prohormones
4. 1AD IS 1Test in oral form

With that said, HE should be the one posting this, and spending months researching before altering his hormone levels. This is NOT like creatine. There are very real and serious side effects that one needs to learn about and be prepared for so that they can reverse and/or minimize them should they appear.

Prohormones are not for the beginner. They are for someone that has reached close to their natural limits and wants the extra umph and is willing to take the risks.

Forgot to say. Tell him to try the tribulus first and if that does not help, then do some research on the hard stuff.

Thanks Streax. You obviously have done your homework on prohormones.

Do you prefer oral or transdermal delivery methods?

Thanks for your replies. He is 37. He has been lifting for about 6 months. It is good to get info from people who know first hand, I have researched all three products but one never knows how true the statements are from companies and websites. I have heard that 1-AD is good, I shall research that further. Thanks again.

at 37 that extra hormone boost is really something he's going to need. try using trib and zma (along with healthy diet, rest, exercise, and normal supplementation) and let him get some serious training under his belt before moving on

he needs at least another year and a half of training and a perfect diet before this can even begin an option!!! 6 months of training is nothing... he should still be getting some great beginner gains. If he isn't then that is a sign that something else is amiss.

It is very important to not cut corners with this stuff or you can really bite off a whole lot more than you can chew.

For the record, I have yet to try oral prohormones (will try them someday) but for the record, from everything I have read. Homebrewed transdermals are the safest, cheapest, and most effective method.
