woot, my favorite topic...

For L-arginine, I am guessing you are looking for the benefits of growth hormone release. If you are taking L-arginine for this reason, be aware that independant research saw no improvements in gH release till levels of 20 grams to 40 grams(!!!)oral intake (capsule, powder). That's 4-8 teaspoons of a very bitter tasting amino acid. There is a very real scenario of severe gastro-intestinal distress at these levels.

If you are looking for a simple and non-toxic method of releasing gH, a much better alternative is the 1.2gL-arginine pyroglutamate/1.2gLysine HCl combination. A significant 700% increase in blood serum levels of gH (not secretagogue) was recorded every time this unique combination was used. Before bedtime intake is recommended due to the nature of growth hormone pulse releases to be emitted occur soon after falling asleep. Lytrin and SomaRX are 2 effective products that uses this formula in their products if you want to check it out.

L-glutamine is just fantastic stuff. Active exercisers should take 5-15 grams of pharmaceutical grade L-glutamine daily split between pre and immediately post-workout. Some of the peeps on this board mix it into their protein drinks. I take it straight with water. The highly receptive nature of L-glutamine to mate to its receptor sites in muscle tissue leads me to believe the effervescent variety is unnecessary. So save your money there.

Kind,

For the L-ArgPyro/Lysine combo, pills are fine. Powder will taste nasty bitter nasty.

Try www.pyramidnutrition.com. I ordered their Testosterol XP after checking them out. I know they use GmP (Good Maunfacturing Practices)certified facilities and their quality is superior. Pharmaceutical grade L-glutamine is an easily created amino acid and comes as an extremely fine powder. I use powder cuz it tastes neutral and is cheaper and easier than swallowing 10-15 capsules per day.

Arginine

For best results with L-Arginine itshould be taken when you go to sleep. However I've found Malic acid a far better alternative and is used by many top athletes.
