For about the past 6 weeks, I have been taking 2 grams of l-glutamine prior to my workouts based on a suggestion in a book I read. I've read it's suppose to to help with workout performance and endurance.
Interestingly, I didn't take it for 2 workouts last week, both of which had challenging interval running components and I failed to complete both of these planned running workouts. Then, yesterday I took it before my workout which had a tough running
interval workout and I completed the workout as planned.
So I'm trying to figure out if the 2 dud performances were just a matter of how the stars were aligned, or if there is something to taking the l-glutamine prior to my workouts, or maybe something else. I'm sure with more training with and without the pre-workout l-glutamine consumption I could figure it out myself.
Does anyone have anything to share based on your experience? Thanks!
