leg mass

Just wanted to know if anyone had some mass building routine for bulding more muscular legs. My strength is through the roof but for some reason my legs don't have that full ripped look that I see on alot of guys or that of guys in the fitness magazines. Any ideas, would be much appreciated. TX

Hey mark

Those guys you see in the fitness mags are all juiced to the hilt. They are professional bodybuilders, who spend a lot of $$ on chemical enhancement substances.

However, it's still possible to build freaky legs. Mine is far from that, though. I'm still working on it. You just gotta keep on lifting heavy. I used to stick to high reps for my legs for a long time without any remarkeble gains.
Then Ironman suggested a new routine......I'm on it now..and it works. I now go for low reps and heavy weights, which really made a difference. It's hard work though. I take a day off after legs. I still go for high reps once every while...just to shock my legs.

My routine looks like this:
Low reps - Legpresses = 4 sets of 6 - 8 reps
Legextensions = 4 sets of 6- 8 reps
Hacksquats = 3 sets of 10 reps.
Legcurls = As many sets as I can do with max weight, 6 - 8 reps
Stiffleg deadlifts = 3 sets of 4 -6 reps
If I still have energy left after this I do regular deads, or I do them three days later.

It would be nice to see your current routine.

oops...and the high reps routine -

Leg curls alternated with leg extensions - 3 sets , all to failure.
Legpresses alternated with stiffleg deads - 3 sets , all to failure.
Dumbell squats(nice exercise - easy on the back) 3 or 4 sets , to failure.

That's it, man.
