The way I understand it most of whats in pee is metabolic waste from all of your cells and the kidneys. Water from any drink is absorbed thru the intestines mostly the large ones into the body and contributes to flushing the waste to the bladder.

Anything else takes a different route where it may be burned for energy to move/think/burn fat reserves or as nutrients and building blocks for tissues of the body.

They may enter the body together at the same time but they have different routes and timetables.

Your body knows the difference between water and nutrients. Water helps your body transport the nutrients to where they need to go. Your body knows better than to let those nutrients out with the waste before they have been absorbed. Nutrients, in any form, are digested and absorbed. What your body does with them afterwards depends on the type of nutrient. Drinking more water doesn't inhibit your body from absorbing nutrients. (There are other things that can hinder nutrient absorbtion, but we won't go into that now.)

If that were the case, like Cursor said, you could eat whatever you wanted as long as you drank a lot of water because your body wouldn't absorb the nutrients (nutrients = fat/carb/protein/vitamins/minerals/water)

For the record, u cant "pee" protein/fats/carbs out. Say u eat/drink a ton of protein. It will be digested and absorbed by body. Then the body will see it dont hav no use for so much protein. So it'll break up the protein and finally store it as fat. During the breakdown process urea byproducts are created which will be peed out.(This incidentally puts some strain on kidneys).

There's so much misinformation out there. Make sure you research and don't always believe what your friend tells you.

Urine is not made out of protein powder. Next time you pee see if you see any chunks of protein going into the toilet bowl. Excess amounts of protein are ommited through urine;however, this is true for all protein, and not just protein in powder form.
