Long lasting creatine effects?

I was just wondering if creatine will do anything for me in the long run. If I increase my gains while I'm on it, will I be able to keep at least some of them? Or will I lose it 100%? Trust me, I do want gains, but I don't want to be on creatine my whole life.

When you use creatine your muscles can store more water in the muscle glands. In the gym this will help you to get an extra rep or two. And move up quicker in the weights. When you stop taking creatine you lose the water that the glands hold. You won't lose the muscle.
