Looking for SIMPLE ideas for post workout shake

I am thinking of finally adding a post workout shake to my life after I workout which is usually 7:30pm. I am looking for a basic, simple tasty recipe using Whey, glutamine (I tend to get sick more in the winter) and a liquid. I was thinking of getting OPtimum Nutrition Vanilla WHey and mixing it with ice and OJ for a creamsicle flavored drink. Any ideas? Oh and after this I was going to wait an hour for my next meal it would be about 9pm by then and was thinking of just eating some protein (chicken breast) and some veggies like broccoli or a salad. SOund ok?

Moved this. Nice link Jak. olotti .... that first meal needs to contain enough carbohydrate to start re-fueling your glycogen levels, so have those veggies, but also have some rice / pasta etc .. you get the idea. Chix and sweet potato's is an ideal first post-workout meal.

Laters.

This is my post workout Meal when I am on a bulking diet.

1 large cinnamon and raisin bagel toasted

+ the following blended together:

1/2 serving prolab n-large2 vanilla
1 serving vanilla flavored whey!!

MMMMMMM

Generally when I am on a cutting diet I have found that my body deals with carbs very well even when not at the recommended level post workout so I generally just have the 1/2 serving n-large 2 and it works for me great!!

Whatever you do just try to keep your carbs a hi GI carb that way it replenishes glycogen levels quickly!!
