Looking for the perfect protein bar?

Hey guys,

I have been having great difficulty finding the ultimate protein bar (imo).

my requirements in order of preference:

1. NO SUGAR ALCOHOLS, and 0 to 4 sugars (also no high fructose syrup!)
2. use of splenda/sucralose or stevia (rare)
3. 20 to 30 g of WHEY protein (no SOY!)
4. Tastes good enough to choke down.

It would be nice if it had rolled oats, and other natural healthy things as well. (this is asking a lot however)

here is the list of what I could find that comes the closest in order:

1. PBL Pure Omega 3 Protein Bar (probably tastes horrible)
2. Nature`s Best Quatro Bars (from the makers of Isopure)
3. Labrada Rockin' Roll Bars (new)
4. BioNutritional Power Crunch Bars (a bit low on the protein, ~13g)

Has anyone tasted these???

Does anyone have any other ones? or any secret sources where you can buy some with most of my requirements above?!? Thanks!

I really love the trioplex brand bars, but they are too high in carbs & sugar for me.

I know you could also make your own bars, but I dont have time for this, also would like the bar so I have something in case I forget to make or take a certain meal for work.... or like for unexpected events that interfere with my meal eating.. etc...

anyways thansk!

Unfortunately, there is hardly anything out there that meets your needs. I use the ThinkOrganic Try ThinkThin Bars It is 20g protein. A bit low, but as a travel snack it works.

thanks LAdyC, that is a nice find!...

I notice the mudslide mocha flavor only has 10g sugar alcohol... its close to my stomachs threshold, but i may give it a go.!

my threshold is ~8-12 g and then all hell breaks loose!
hehe

yeh, you would think there would be a market out there for a very healthy protein bar, I guess the limit is the R&d it takes to make it taste pretty good?

but i know of quite a few people that would want to eat the same kind of bar I want!....

Might not meet your needs but I have been looking for that "perfect Bar" for a while, and Not too much luck. This is what I did pick up though,
Pure Protein
Fat: 7g/Sat: 5G
Sodium:160
Carbs: 26g
Protein: 32G
Sugar: 1G/ Alcohol: 11G
And its got alot of vitamins in it. Carbs are alittle high and Alchohol is too......but....... Its tough man
