No you wont. As long as you're eating the same amount.

Well how much mass in actual inches do you think that you gain from creatine? I dont agree with that comment. Increases in Mass on creatine dont have much to do w/ water retention. I'm not sure where everyone gets that idea. I've taken creatine before and never had my muscles balloon w/ water. Take measurements now and again when you're off the creatine, I dont think you'll see much of a difference.

Creatine causes water retention into muscles. This is a fact and one of the ways creatine is effective. By water retention it promotes a more anabolic enviornment for muscle synthesis. When I load on creatine i gain about 6lbs in the first week when i go of it i lose most of this i am back on creatine this week starting a new prograame and once again expect to make these gains from loading due to retention.

6 pounds of water is close to a gallon... imagine trying to hide a gallon of water somwhere on your body. It is all dispersed evenly in your muscles.

Let me define mass for you
Mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object. Mass is usually measured in grams or kilograms.

Therefore if i have gained 6lbs or about 2.5 kg I have increased my mass.

Ok, wiseass, lets get picky, what exactly do you think he means by mass here? the actual amount of matter he'll have?! Thats ridiculous, he wants to know if he'll lose his gains in muscle, he even said it himself... And by zero I obviously did not mean zero, I meant noticeable as far as muscle is concerned. Seems like you might be the "witch hunter".... Look at the question and try to help...

.. you should really base your coments on 'good science' creatine is believed to significantly increase water retention in skeletal muscle cells .. this will become apparent when you get off the stuff - seeing a net loss. The thing with creatine is it increases your ATP production .. post workout .. hence recovery from a workout is accelerated and enables you to push further (e.g. more sets) as opposed to less being off it. So muscle mass will be increased but definately not significantly ie. 10lbs in a week .. especially on your first course of the stuff .. chamone

I believe if you look at my answer I did not disagree that you would not lose muscle mass I merely informed him to expect a drop in mass and this would be due to water retention and not muscle so he would not worry about the decrease.

You aren't likely to lose all of the benefits you got from supplementing with creatine. The creatine in your muscle cells will be gone after about a month at which time you may notice some decrease in weight and strength.
