Multivitamins and meal replacement bars

Got a quick question, currently I only take 20g of whey protein, twice a day but I heard alot about multivitamins. So I'm goning to get some multivitamins. What is a good type to get??? Also, with meal replacement bars, are you supposed to basically replace a meal with one of these?? What are they exactly for, weight loss body building, toning??

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Multivitamin.....
AST Multi Pro 32X

As far as a MRPs,they are perfect for post-workout use or as a convenient and nutritious meal replacement. You obviously don't want to eat only MRPs. It is just convient. Used for weightloss, bulking, anything really. Hope this helps.

beverly international makes an excellent multivitamin pack specifically for athletes and available through many online retailers.

i'm assuming you're just starting out so i'll tell you one thing: THE most anabolic substance of all, bar none, is food. work on increasing your protein through diet and you'll see muscle gain picking right quick.

Vitamin and mineral supplements will not burn more fat, build more muscle, increase energy, or improve athletic performance. Don't take vitamin and minerals if you don't need it. A good multi-vitamin mineral formula will contain every essential nutrient you need. I recommed Nature Made Essential 50+, Multi Vitamin/Mineral Supplement.

MRP’s are low in calories and fat, and high in protein and essential nutrients. These products are not intended to take the place of good eating habits, but they are an extremely convenient way to get a "meal" in a hurry.

Look at the nutrition labels on the bars and make that decision (compare the values against a real meal). Personally, I avoid them.

Hm. I tried some kind of meal bar---myolplex, maybe? It was only $.89 for 30g of protein of and something like 80g of complex and simple carbs, low fat, total of 400 calories. Thought it would be an awesome post workout snack but it took me half an hour to eat it (no joke!) and I wasn't in the least hungry for over two hours after that . Not really a good call for someone who can barely stomach their 2500kc a day anyway, like me.

Not directly but staying healthy and having your biody functioning optimally will let these goals be achieved easier most people should take a multi vit.
