I don't get pissed about the ads. I laugh because of how much money they spend trying to get me to buy a product I never will. Fooey on them!

I get pissed about the adds only because if i am spending money on a magazine I want the most I can get out of it. Just think out of those 36 pages if they say gave 6 pages to all of their products which I think is more than enough the other 30 pages could be towards 3-4 articles on dieting, weight training etc. It pisses me off cause there's more "adds" than freaking articles in magazines nowadays.

Uhm,....I really don't think "Muscle & Fitness" could be ranked as a "respectable" resource for information. That's why most of the fitness professionals,...the ones who have to make a living teaching real people about real results, refer to it as the "Muscle & Fiction" mag.

I USED to use EAS products when I first started bodybuilding ... then, I quickly realized that EAS employees have NO clue about bodybuiling OR the supplements that they're selling to the public. I've called the EAS employee/product line many times to ask questions about various supplements ... and oh, my God, you should've HEARD them. I tell ya, it was truly unbelievable. Very sad, actually. So I'm thinking: "Good Lord, if the employees don't know s---, isn't it possible that the people who MAKE the stuff aren't exactly knowledgeable scientists?" Pretty scary thought. All I can say is I hope EAS has a new handful of employees by now - people that know a LITTLE (at least) about the products that they endorse.

Optimum Nutrition is a great company, good quality, very economical, no bullcrap, what-you-see-is-what-you-get products.

Muscle Milk also has several good supplements on the market (namely their protein powders and bars).

Designer Whey ... well, gotta love the Detour and U-Turn bars!

(Just my 2 cents.)

Get huge,

I wish I saw this post before I bought that huge jar of Nitro-Tech! Arghh.. Time to go shopping again.

I see that Optimum Nutrition has 100% Whey Protein and 100% NATURAL Whey Protein shake powders. Which is better? Just want to make sure I get the right stuff this time.

Jesus, Jaster, you freak. How long does a 10-pound bag last you, a week?

Fengalon: I believe (if memory serves me correctly) that the only different between the two is the fact that the "100% Natural" formula contains no artificial sweeteners; the other one is sweetened with aspartame. Personally, I use the natural version (just because I generally try to avoid aspartame).

Thanks, Jaster and MuscleMama.

I had my first Detour bar today. I wouldn't think it was a Snickers bar if my eyes were blindfolded, but it's pretty damn close to it! I think I'm going to order a box today.

Shopping time.

They really are. I'll watch out, though. Too much of it might make my journal (and me!) look bad.

MuscleMama, how are those U-turn bars? Taste-wise, I mean.

Fengalon:

U-Turn bar? What U-Turn bar?

*quickly hides the wrapper behind her back*

(They're just as good, if not better, than the Detour bars.)
