No2

Has anyone ever heard of NO2? It's supposed to be better than creatine. If anyone has taken NO2, I'm curious as to your results.

NO2 and the like are used to indirectly increase blood flow by increasing blood levels of nitric oxide. The results will be, more vascularity (veins appear more prominant), supposed better delivery of nutrients to muscle etc,... Honestly ed, I would save your money. There was an article posted by MostMuscle recently here that showed higher NO levels to be unhealthy. Whether that is true or not, I don't think it's your best option. At the base of all the NO supps. is the amino acid l-arginine. If you really had to try it, you'd be better off just taking that. Either way, look into both sides of it first. As far as being better than creatine, it's not comparable since they work in different ways.

Here is the link to the thread with MM's article. Scroll down a hair for it; http://www.discussfitness.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25685

I don't think there has ever been a supplement with more hype than NO2. I also don't believe there has been a single supplement that has been so widely discredited by just about every bodybuilding/research site.

Lift, I hear ya on the L-Argenine. I've heard that L-Ornathine goes really well with L-Argenine. Any truth to that?

NO2 is bunk, there is no sound scientific proof to prove the claims that this product makes. You can get good pumps just by ensuring you have enough carbs in your muscle stores, enough water consumed throughout the day and making sure to use high intensity in the gym.

As said before, you cant compare NO2 to creatine...because yep, they are two different things...and besides creatine is PROVEN to work amazingly on just about everyone...NO2 is pure hype, and like said before, I wouldn't waste your cash on it.

To date, there is no better supplement than these two: whey protein and creatine. Period!

Well as for a boost in the gym I'd say its bunk, but theres no doubt that it increases vascularity and hardness of muscles throughout the day and after a workout. If you can get something with 3000-3500 mg of AAKG cheaply, then go for it. San V-12 is a creatine form with an arginine compound which I've found to work very well for both pumps and strength gain. Not all that expensive either. Swole I believe is an alternative to it.

I guess if one is looking for a pump, then go for it, as it sounds like it gives good pumps after training, etc. As far as muscle growth is concerned, well, I haven't seen a study that proves that it helps in the way of growth. People can get pumps for free, but unless a supplement actually helps improve muscle growth, strength levels, etc, then I personally am not one for it.
