Wouldn't work. I've been approached by my physician to consider anavar - obviously for different reasons. Oxadril (anavar - with it's new expensive name) IS a strength builder, has minimal side effects (compared to the other 'roids), the extra strength will let you build more muscle. Problem, it just isn't that effective. It has to go through the liver and is mostly removed from the body by the liver. It is used somewhat effecively in HIV/AIDS patients to help combat the
muscle wasting later on in the disease (some other diseasest that cause weakness which leads to muscle atrophy too). It is also used in children with certain genetic abnormalities and very low GH levels. My doc and I read all the available accurate information together (not much REAL information). Weeded out the "steroids are bad, and steroids are good" hype, went with the real medical studies and decided it just wasn't effective enough to be worth the risk and expense.
If someone ACTUALLY needs chemical assistance - why not just bypass the liver and go with transdermal testosterone. Or a woman over 35 who likely has some REAL hormonal issues could take estratest - a very effective hormone replacement therapy.
I would not reccomend it for a single woman without access to a man or suitable replacement though.
