Optimum Nutrition 100% whey users...HELP!!!!

Alright so I read the stickied topic and bought myself a 5 lb bucket of ON 100% whey in strawberry. The problem is, the scoop must be at the bottom of the jug so I can't get to it. Can someone measure out their scoop in volume (like tablespoons) so I can atleast take the right amount until i get to that damn scooper..

Thanks!

Just dig it out . . . It's almost NEVER completly on the bottom. If you dig around a little you'll find it

1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons = 0.5 oz = 15 grams

I believe a serving (scoop) of ON is about 28 grams (check your label) so 2 rounded tablespoons should do it.

ummm...how did you convert from volume to weight? No offense but in order to do that you gotta know the density of this stuff.

Well, 1 fl oz = roughly 2 tbsp, and 1 solid oz = roughly 28g.

Volume would be liters (or meters cubed)

Grams and ounces are terms for mass.

It does seem weird that they can convert tbsp to fl oz, but a fl oz = a solid oz in terms of mass.

no way dude. A fluid oz does not equal a oz in weight except when density is an equal 1 g/cm (I think). The other conversions are correct but fluid oz to mass oz just can't be done with out density. Why am I talking about this on a fitness forum at midnight...my brain hurts...

Come on guys, dont make me dump the tub out into a big bowl and sift through it. I'd rather find the scoop later on like in a cereal box. They should tape it to the lid...

Yeah, I'm wrong. One is a measurement of volume and one is a measurement of weight. So that 1 ounce = 28g and 1 fluid ounce = 2 tbsp are completely unrelated.

As for the scoop, just jam your hand in there and feel around, don't actually dig the stuff out and put it on the floor

and...the scoop is 70 cubic centimers.
1 tbsp = roughly 15cc, so you want around 4 tbsp and 2 tsp per serving.

Yeah I just feel like a moron now, I'm supposed to know the difference in measurements by now lol...then again I asked some friends of mine that are in their last semester of college and they had no clue either.

Seriously, the scoops are almost always like that though, I just usually dip my hand in there and fish around until I find it.

doh... Sorry for the confusion bro -- I googled a conversion table and just copied a line without thinking about it.
Thanks to Cort for correcting.
