No. Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey (vanilla) tastes great! I haven't tried any other flavors (but had been using ON-vanilla for a couple of years).

I just check the current prices for AlltheWhey.com and see that a 5-lbs container of whey protein concentrate (the equivalent of ON's 100% Whey) is priced at just $19.99 (shipping is $5.95):
http://www.allthewhey.com/order.htm#blend
Personally, we're going to try the Whey Protein Isolate (vanilla) this next order (just ordered some this morning)

I'm not trying to start anything, just correct the fact that ON uses a Concentrate/Isolate/Hydrolyzed blend, making it more high quality than just a concentrate which is why it's a little more expensive and comparable to a straight isolate.

I was just trying to be brief in my description, Lift2Live.
AlltheWhey describes their product as: "Whey Protein / Concentrate Blend" (see their home page).
INGREDIENTS:
Pure Whey Protein Concentrate, Pure Whey Protein Isolate,
Natural and Artificial Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Sucralose (Splenda®)

I know, I wasn't getting on you for anything, just explaining the difference between ATW concentrate's price compared to ON's price in respect to what you get for your dollar. Either way, to each their own, if ATW is easier on your system by all means, use it! :

That would take me nearly one year to use and I take 4 servings a day!

I don't trust Ebay. Take 50lbs. of flour, a label from AllTheWhey, slap it on the bag, charge 130.00 and you've got yourself alot of baking to do! lol

I'm not saying that it isn't legitimate, just playing devil's advocate in saying it's possible to be taken.

I checked the website and their 5# container is $32.95, where did you get the $19.99 figure from?

Clicking the link in that post, I see: "Banana Blend 5 lbs Price: $19.99". The same holds true for orange, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and even unflavored.

It looks like you're seeing the price for their "isolate". Scroll down just a bit and you'll see the "Whey Protein -- Concentrate/isolate blend".

i've seen the optimum nutrition 100% whey protein 5lb on the net cheap....but it comes in the old label...ie not that new 23g black tub...
do you think it could be like overdue or something, or there might be something dodgey with the protein. i have seen on most sites that it comes in the new black label.

I doubt that there is anything wrong with the older, black labeled protein from ON. I just looked at a jug of my AlltheWhey.com protein and don't see any expiration date. Is there one on any of the ON stuff?

I'm trying a tub of All the Whey and it has an Exp date printed vertically in the center of the rear label. I also have a 5lb tub of ON (black label) and the exp date is printed at the top, about 1/2 inch below the cap. Both were bought this year. Both will expire mid 2006. Guess that means an approx two year shelf life.
