buy whey protein powder and take a scoup or two in the morn, and 2 scoups after working out.

i use gnc brand

as far as protein bars go, most of them have too much sugar. i just started makeing my own but i only eat them when i cant eat a normal meal or drink a shake.

search protein bars and you can find the recipie under the nutrition forum

Aye - most protein bars are a waste of money. They have too much sugar and they use Glycerin to make you fall for that "Net Carbs" crap.

The ones that are low in sugar are also too expensive (Nitrotech, Met-RX Protein Plus are two that come to mind). They are good bars but waaay overpriced.

I quit buying protein bars and I make my own with Flax Meal, Natural PB and Whey Protein (which is in the recipes section). I only eat them as a last resort when there is NO way for me to get a meal =)

Protein shakes are way better than the bars. Benman 2002 is right. Most bars do have way too much sugar and will turn you into a fatass faster than you can say Twinkies if you have the wrong metabolism. The low-carb bars are extremely overpriced and will give you the ****s because glycerine won't digest. So make sure you're near a toilet

Stick with the whey powder. Benman 2002 is right. Most bars have too much sugar, and will turn you into a fatass quicker than you can say Twinkies if you have the wrong metabolism. Besides being overpriced, the low-carb bars will give you the ****s because glycerin does not digest. So make sure you're near a toilet.

I think the best tasting bar is SportPharma's Promax bar. Little high in carbs but if you are not worried about that they are great!! A decent 20 grams of protein and not a bad price.

Check them out here

I get MET-Rx protein plus bars. They aren't too expensive if you go to the right place to buy them.
