I've been drinking protein shakes on and off for a few years now. But one thing I've noticed is that it can sometimes leave my stomach feeling absolutely HORRIBLE and nauseated.
I'm still not sure if it depends on the brand (I tend to switch up), or the amount of actual powder in the shake. Or maybe I just have a sensitive stomach? It gets to the point sometimes where I have to be sick...
Anyone else having this problem?

Low quality whey proteins contain lots of lactose. I simply cannot stomach many of them. I have found an isolate that does not hurt me at all, although it is more expensive. I only have whey post weight workouts so I find it works fine for me.
i think it's more like the make: if you buy cheap ones then i think you will get a upset stomach. i have switched to the one i am having at the moment and i feel fine!
I'm seriously thinking that it's the brand. It was on special at the store, and they had TRUCKLOADS of this stuff...I knew it was too good to be true.
Normally I don't drink a large amount...just post-workout, small shake with various fruits mixed in. I usually mix it with 1% milk. Thinking back, the last brand I drank didn't give me any problems at all. Time to chuck this crap out!! :

Agreed 110%. I had trouble with some proteins until I got on an isolate. My stomach hasn't bothered me one bit since then. :
Scrapped the old stuff I'd been using and bought Iso-Whey made by Interactive Nutrition. I've also used this brand before, and it by far is the best tasting I've had. I made myself a shake the other night, and my stomach did not protest one bit.
Let this be a warning to all: DO NOT BUY GNC PRODUCTS.
