Doubt there is any important difference. I have the 2nd one you mentioned I think, with 23g per serving. It's just a recommended serving, and I usually use double that in my shake after workout.

55 Grams is per serving size or 55 protein grams per serving.
Pro complex is listed as two scoops being a serving size. 1 scoop =34 grams each

Their regular whey protein has 23 grams protein per serving size but is is for one 29.4 gram scoop.

I would just buy the regular whey as it is cheaper and digest much faster so it is well suited for post workout.

Don't stress over what type of protein to use Jeff. Protein in any form is necessary for muscle growth, so the protein you bought will not go to waste. Genuine scientific research (not the garbage in advertising) has shown that just a few grams of protein consumed post workout will provide for positive nitrogen balance which is what your body needs to repair itself post workout. Bodybuilders from the 50's to the mid 80's never used whey and they still got big. Workout, eat right, rest -- you will grow.
