noobie

hey i just joined the cite and think it is great. i love forums cause most of the time people will tell you the truth about products and good tips on the subject.

i have been working out for about 2.5 months now and i am about to start using creatine. i have been taking whey protein off and on becuase i hate the taste and can bearly down the stuff (just do it in one chug) . i was wondering if there are any other supplements i could add when i am taking protein and creatine. along with my supplements i am also going to adjust my diet cause i know that is the first step. and for protein how many times a day do i take it. i usually have eggs in the morning and was wondering if that is enough or should i add protein.
thanks for the help in advance

In general it is usually recommended to take in 1g of protein per lb of bodyweight. So you're going to need to measure the protein in the foods you it...I usually only need one shake a day unless I miss a meal or something else that prevents me from taking in my normal amount of protein. Good and cheap/easy to come by foods for protein are tuna, chicken, milk, and eggs...and most other meats too, though they may be higher in fat.

Anyways...1 shake a day should cut it if your diet is straightened out, if not you may need more, though you should really get the diet straight if it isn't already.

Try Myoplex protein shakes, by far the best tasting shake out there, and it's a good quality one too. I'm 99% sure you won't be dissapointed with it.

If you want to do things right from the get go start tracking your food intake.
Keep a log that shows the calories and a brake down of macro nutrients such as protein/Carbs/Fat grams.
For protein I suggest no less then 1 1/2 grams per pound of body mass spread out over at least 6 meals. Get quality protein from eggs, milk, fish, beef and supplement with a shake post workout.
Make sure to read about proper nutrition as this account for most of the gains you'll make bodybuilding.
