Running when on creatine.

I was just wondering if it was still okay to run while on creatine? When I say run I mean a mile a day or a mile every other day? I just do not want to lesson the effects of creatine and weight training by running. But I still love to run.

I have, you should try to go more than a mile though, else it doesnt really benefit. just make sure to get a ton of water - 1-2 gallons at least else youre gonna be dehydrated

Creatine use while running would be more beneficial to sprinters rather than distance runners. But it shouldn't have any detrimental effects on your longer runs, nor should your running a mile a day interfer too much with your lifting. To be on the safe side, is it possible to split your running by 10 hours or so from your lifting?

You wont find it any benefit if you are distance running but it wont effect creatine utilisation for weighlifting as long as you are replenishing daily

Yes it is possible for me to split weight lifting and running. I either like to run in the morning or right before the sun goes down. So I can just lift on the opposite part of the day.

I wouldnt say you'd get no benefit, distances runners need a kick too. plus it seems to help with recovery, why couldn't this help distance runners recovery as well?

Creatine helps to replenish ATP stores within the body. ATP is pretty much the first thing that burns up when doing anaerobic exercises. ATP is burned up the first half mile of a distance run. I dont have any articles to back me up, its just biophysics really.

Yes but as far as i am aware creatine can only supply phophate groups for a few seconds before its used up hardly going to impact endurance runers hugely
