Stop Diabetes

When calcium and vitamin D get together, their powers multiply. Not only do they help build your bones and boost your immune system function, but, according to new research, they also help ward off type 2 diabetes. Research shows you'll be a whopping 33 percent less likely to develop the condition if you get at least 1,200 milligrams (mg) of calcium and 800 international units (IU) of vitamin D per day compared to an intake of only 600 mg of calcium and less than 400 IU of vitamin D daily.

I don't think Ive ever seen one without the other in supplement form.

I also put on the BS radar when writeups are presented on supplement marketing pages.

Get outside for 15 minutes a day and expose your raw skin to the sun before putting on sunblock. Your Vit. D needs will be met. Calcium fortified food is getting harder and harder to avoid. It's not only in milk anymore. Calcium interferes with iron absorption so I am always on the look out to avoid it when taking iron. Anyone who is taking milk, milk substitues or other dairy porducts is getting both. Even OJ has calcium now!

Calcium is often sold without vit D often just with magnesium. Over here it is impossible nearly to get all 3.
The interesting point is that 600mgs is not enough which is prob what most are getting and definatly not enough vit D. You obviously never experienced an Irish winter.

Also where are you getting supplement marketing pages. They dont sell supps as far as im aware just google ads like this site.

"RealAge" Supplements!
Quote:
The RealAge Optimum (RAO) dose of vitamin D is 400 IU per day for people under age 70 and 600 IU per day for people over age 70. But the upper intake level is 2,000 IU -- meaning anything up to that level is generally considered safe.
