Survey

I've been reading several different bodybuilding magazines. The one thing I have noticed is all of the different supp ads in these darn things.
I read these magazines so I can look at the pics and try to use them as motivation for my own lifting.
I am interested in trying one of the supplements in the mags. It does make sense to me that instead of taking several different individual supplements, to take just one supplement that has everything in it.
So my little survey is simply this: I would love to hear if you guys have tried these so-called wonder supplements and what your results were.

They are probably garbage, lets say this wonder supplement you wanted contained: soy protein, whey protein, dextrose, flax seed, creatine, glutamine, BCAA, Zma, multivitamin, maltodextrin, Trib, Ephedrine......you see what i mean. The reason people take all these different supplements is because there are certain times you take each one and times you dont. The reason that there are soooooo many damn ads in those magazines is how do you think they can afford to make money, they have to sell ads its common business practice. Half of them being Muscle tech related too....just garbage if you ask me. Id stick to your multiple supplements.

I never said I wasn't. I just wanted to know if anyone took the stuff and if they saw any results.

Not any one in particular. I'm just trying to look at it from a financial standpoint. All of the supplements people take can cost a lot of money when bought individually. I'm just wondering if one of these supps that are advertised in these mags might be able to replace all of the supps we take. I would much rather take one than take several. I realize that most, if not all, are just garbage. I'm just wondering if anyone has taken any of these and what their results were.

I think it depends on the supplement. Alot of those mags have some pretty basic supps. that alot of people use, like the Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey which is in Flex every month. It's a good basic protein. Some of the other supps though, are just silliness. Ones I always see like, Sterobol or the NOXplode, are just over hyped creatine and nitrous supps. To some people, they work and to others, they are junk. If you can wade through the hype and look at each supp for what it is then there might be one that is worth using, perhaps Cell-Tech would work for you or maybe the other 100 MuscleTech products. I don't think one could say every single one is junk or worthwhile, it's dependant. Now, i've never used any (besides ON protein) of the supps in the mags I've read but say I see one that promotes Prolab's Creatine, then I'd say yes I have. It wouldn't necessarily be junk just because it popped up in a mag then.

I would be careful of supplements that don't tell you what the active ingreadient is.

I am intrested in knowing more about this Enodthil - CR i read on that site all there is to read, and doesn't sound so bad. now.. take into consideration that IM only 16, I talked to the gold female candian weight lifting lady .. and she told me that taking Creatine would be a bad idea at this early age. I wonder about this Endothil... what do you guys think can you provide some more info on it? Seems to be extracted from natural plants!

She gave you bad advice then, creatine isnt all that harmful, infact its completely safe if you are well hydrated. Its not a hormone/AAS/Ph dont worry about it. People always are looking for the way out, i wouldnt buy that Endothil-CR. All i know is that it contains a tomato extract...........YIPPIE

There are only a handful of legitemate supplements that actually work or have been proven to work. So, I am not sure of what "wonder" supplements there are out there.

There is creatine, various forms of whey protein, glutamine, vitamins/minerals, etc....those are the basics and most likely what work best out of any other supplements that are out there. But, I don't think one supplement is going to cover all of these avenues, as each is different to begin with.
