Pretty simple, find a lifting plan. Stick to the compounds and don't worry about the minutia of it all. Just work on getting big. You can not shape what you don't have.

I would suggest that you consider something like Max OT, HST, 5x5 and one or two days a week of cardiovascular conditioning.

There are plenty of folks here who can help you with all of those, or something else if you want it. The best advise I ever got was from Firehawk. We were talking one day on YIM and I was worrying about this minor detail and that minor detail. Finally he said, "just shut up and lift". You know what? It worked for me.

Now about your diet. Sorry, you've got to eat. Consider something like 40-45% carbs. 35-40% protein and 20% fat. Keep most of the fats healthy. BUT have a bit of saturated fat too, some red meat each day with one meal is probably going to be sufficient. Why the saturated fat? Because it supports hormone function. At your age, your hormones are ready to rage better than any juice monkey will ever have.

Give them some beef and they'll be ready to go. That was "natural anabolics" lesson #1. You just happen to have a HGH factory at the base of your brain pumping the good stuff out in massive doses and two little testosterone factories somewhere else (hint, they control your brain) pumping out even better stuff in the most massive doses you'll ever have right now. To keep you from getting fat, you also have a thyroid making T3 and T4 - which make the HGH effective so you will burn fat easily and make muscle easily.

Next, eat protein and carbs before and after each workout. Have another small feeding of protein and carbs 1 hour after lifting. One more 2 hours after lifting. They can be small or even shakes. Not big sit down steak dinners. Why is that? Because the protein is for muscle synthesis. The carbs are for insulin production. Why insulin? Doesn't it make you fat? Sure does, but timed right it also makes you bigger and more muscular. Insulin is THE MOST ANABOLIC hormone in the human body and in the left side of your upper abdomen you have an insulin factory. That was anabolic lesson #2.

There you go. HGH, Test, thyroid hormone and Insulin - the most potent anabolic stack in the world and you are making plenty of all of it...all you've got to do is feed the machine.

The human body really is a wondrous thing if you let it be.

Now about it being damn hard to eat that much. Sure it is. Let me quote a wise man and pose a question to you, I'm sure you've already read his thread from this morning. "How bad do you want it" - pierini.

Well, how bad do you want it? I don't know much but in 3 years I did turn myself from a 300lb cripple into a 170lb triathlete. Then I managed to add 30lbs since last July without getting fat. I will help answer any mature questions you have.

There are others that have much more experience and much better physiques than I'll ever have here too. They will help you just as they've helped me.

Well, what about it? You ready to make some muscles? Let's do it.

Very interesting

Stop whining and making excuses and eat more. its that simple. Lots of really smart and talented people from all different fitness backgrounds have told you how they overcame their weaknesses, not its your turn, Eat more. Eat more. Eat more. And eat more.

What happens if you want to build a bonfire and you keep adding just enough wood to keep the fire going? If you want that bonfire to get bigger, you don't friggin' throw a bomb on it, you add more wood! Patience and common sense go a long way.

There aren't many true hard gainers. But there are a lot of undereaters. Some claim to be eating everything, but when they do an actual caloric breakdown of their food intake, it proves out that they simply aren't eating enough.

Here's an idea. Go to FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal and open a free account, make it public, and post the link to your daily food log in your journal. Keep it honest and we will find out if you are eating enough. Some will even make suggestions of how you can make it better.

Want to see what can happen if one applies themselves, works hard, doesn't expect instant miracles, and eats like he or she should?

Go to the progress pictures section and look for Todd's photos. I even think there is one of him somewhere when he was about your age and first started training. He was one skinny little dude. Look at him now.

Dude, I'm gonna be honest here, your diet is trash! All your proteins are coming from either processed or supplimented protein, carbs from sugary crap, no wonder you are not growing.... I may raise some brows or verify what others are thinking, well I've started no so aint gonna stop

Dude, you gotta pull this together, no good saying 'I eat everything and it dont work', your body type will make it harder for you to grow but like anything, put some effort in. Its great that you style in the gym but in my eyes, that accounts for about 40% of the package

Here is a sample day, see if you can spot the differences between this and your diet:

Breakfast
200ml Pure orange juice
1 Bowl of oats / skimmed milk / 35g whey protein
3 Eggs
2 Wholegrain slices bread
1tbs Margarine

Midmorning
250g Cottage cheese

Lunch
150g Tuna with big a$$ bunch of salad
60g Wholegrain pasta
1 Wholegrain pitta

Pre-Workout
1 Banana
250g Natural yogurt with acasia honey
35g Whey protein

Post-Workout
35g Whey protein
1 Chicken breast
1 Cup of rice

Evening Meal
120g Egg noodles
Sugar snap peas
Baby corns
1 Onion
120g King prawns
1 Turkey breast

Before Bed
35g Whey protein/casein protein

Notice anything? You gotta eat good wholesome things - put **** in and you get **** out, if you wanna look like a greasy burger - then eat greasy burgers... If you wanna look mean, dude you gotta eat like a king!

So the weight gained was from high sugar carbs and processed proteins - way to go

I've been reading your posts and most people on this board (with much more muscle mass, more experienced with great gains) have tried to help you - the moral here is you cannot help someone that cannot help themselves

From this point on I will read and laugh - your loss :

I know you're talking, but all I'm hearing at this point is "wha wha wha". Follow others' advice before dismissing it. As Sophos said, they are bigger and stronger than you for a reason.

Either listen to what's been said and stop whining, or stop posting all together.

Lots of people will be big and shredded without following any kind of eating plan. It's called genetics, and it is THE BIGGEST FACTOR in how easy or difficult it will be for you to add muscle. You can still build an impressive physique even if you haven't been dealt the best hand genetically, but it will take a lot more hard work.

It sounds to me like you are not willing to do it. But hey.......at least you have another thing to whine about now.

By the way, if I weighed 140 lbs I would stop posting and build my gym in my fridge where I would eat 24/7 and gain at least another 40 lbs before I came back and asked another question.

(post is probably gonna be deleted.... but at 17 yrs old he's old enough to handle the truth)
