Question

time it takes for whey protein to show results


i was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how long it takes for whey protein to show results. i've read and heard people say it takes as little time as 2 to 4 weeks and some as long as 8 to 12 weeks.

i've been working out for about 4 and a half months now and seeing okay results but wanted to add whey protein for some better results if possible.

can someone help me out here?

First, the way you worded your question is like saying "how long does it take for tuna to work?" They are both just foods that you eat and use for energy.

The results you will see will be the result of your training and diet. That said, taking whey protein after a workout, along with some High GI carbs will be beneficial. What kind of training are you doing?

i train by weightlifting around 4 to 5 times a week. i know you can't just take the stuff and get bigger by not weight training and having a proper diet.

i just wanted to know how long it took to see results taking it with a proper diet and a weight training routine that's all.

bye the way have any of you guys ever ordered or heard of anyone ordering whey products from:

www.allthewhey.com

just wondering because they have the cheapest whey and whey isolate i've seen on the net.

are they any good? taste? quality? fast service?

Mr Dizzle, whey is just something some of us take to help us get enough protein, it's a convenience thing rather than a magic potion. You would get the same results or better from eggs and tuna

like everyone else is saying, its not a matter of when it will kick in and take effect, its all relative to your genetics, eating and supplement habits, and training.

Whey protein creates an insulin response, eggs and tuna do not I don't believe.

The protein I'm currently using is All The Whey unflavored, please, dear god, don't get unflavored! Get a flavored one, the unflavored one tastes terrible, I can't comment on flavored.

i dont think whey protein creates an insulin response... am i wrong anyone?

All protein does, but I remember seeing somewhere that whey created a larger one. Correct me if I'm wrong?

i'd always heard of creatine supplements putting dextrose in to create a high insulin spike... i dunno bout whey or proteins. all food creates insulin spikes though right?

I have ordered the Choclate 10 pound tubs of All the Whey. Its some good stuff. does not taste bad at all. Not to mention the 22 grams of protein per scoop and low calories and fat. low carbs too. it took about 4 business days to get my order also. pretty fast. i would definitly recommend it.
