Vitamin B-12

Has anyone "experimented" with this vitamin in "therapeutic" doses? Given its function in our bodies is that of restoration, repairing our nervous system, delivering oxygen,...it would seem to hold a pretty high place when it comes to building muscles and aiding in our recovery process, not to mention the increased energy without caffeine.

Vitamin B12 (cobolamin) is certainly crucial to cellular maintenance and growth. What do you mean by a "therapeutic" dose? Vitamin B12 is only needed in minuscule amounts in the course of any given day (several micrograms). Although I have not personally experimented with large doses of B12, if a person eats meat and dairy products they almost invariably surpass the required B12 needed by the body. You should get ample B12 with most diets.

Actually it boils down to if the body can methylate it. The meth form is also absorbed differently (especially if the body has problems converting to the meth form). Then there's absorption issues to consider not just conversion factors.

And, as for the miniscule microgram dosing requirements, do remember that ALL of the FDA guidelines are based on ONE unit of measurement and they are for an inactive person, and they are just the bare bones essential basic requirements to keep you off death's door,... there's not a thing in the FDA guidelines for optimizing your health or balancing deficiencies,... it's just to keep you alive.
