Vitamins

Hi. I wanted an opinion on whether vitamin supplements do any good? I have heard so many mixed reviews about them. Obviously, food is the best source to obtain vitamins but will your body absorb any vitamins from a supplement pill? thanks

I believe vitamins are vital to bodybuilders. We put our bodies through a hell of a lot of stress on a regular basis. We definitely need them. Vit A, C and E are the most important.

I know the body gets put through a lot of stress after lifting weights, but it's nothing that will mess our body's up right? This may be a stupid question, but we don't put stress on our heart when we lift right?

I believe we do. Doesn't your heart beat faster when you work out?

Yes our heart beats faster, which does the same thing when we do cardiovascular exercise which is the good type of stress, but I meant does the heavy weight put a bad stress on your heart that can possibly be dangerous to the heart?

Thanks for the links Steve. I'm very interested in health for the heart, so this info is cool. I just want to do everything healthy for my heart and I'm kind of paranoid of doing any damage to my heart. lol Oh yeah, I found a link to the BMI calculation and that's very interesting. My BMI is 24.865. I'm 5'11 and I weigh 178. I have a lot of lean muscle on me. Not sure of the percentage though. k peace.
