Weight Gainer!

Obviously, as indicated by the title, I am interested in purchasing weight gainer. For the fact that I do not have enough money to pay for the food I would need to gain weight and have a fast metabolism making it difficult to gain weight, I thought a "weight gainer" supplement would be ideal. This would be my first time on any weight gainer. The supplements I have taken before were Creatine Monohydrate, and V12 and currently have steady supply of protein supplement. I plan to stack weight gainer with Cell Tech. My question is, what is a good weight gainer product and when is the best time(s) to take a supplement of this nature. Bottom line: What are quality weight gainers that are worth buying?? Thanks!!

Weight Gainer

I always have a special plight within my heart for questions involving weight gain...you see, I too am/was a hardgainer until I attacked weight lifting from a scientific angle.

There are a lot of good weight gain products out there. From GNC ProPerformance 2200 to Optimum Nutritions Mighty One 3000. They will ALL work if supplemented properly with solid meals. Below is the recipe I currently use. Take one shake Morn, Post Workout, and B4 Bed (THE MOST IMPORTANT SHAKE...don't respond with arguments about that). Be sure however, to STILL EAT Solid foods for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and anytime in between that you have free time.

1 cup Milk (110 cals, 8gm protein)
1 serving Optimum Nutrtion 100% Any Whey (110 Cals, 23grams Protein)
2 servings Optimum Nutrition MIghty One 3000 (400+ Cals, 10 grams protein)
1 tablespoon Canola oil (110 cals)
Peanut butter or banana (or whatever for flavoring)
I add some water to that because I don't like my shakes too thick.
It comes out to around 800 cals and 40 grams of protein. 3 times a day, that's half of what you need. Get the rest of your nutrients from FOOD. Chicken, Eggs, Rice, beef.

Oh, Mightyone 3000 is around $20 for 8 lbs.

Talking

Wow... thanks man. Awesome information. Mightyone 3000 is 8 lbs for $20!? Jeez, that is an amazing deal. I will have to look into that. Just to clear things up, you mix protein and weight gainer in the same shake? Also, how does it taste!?

Weight Gainer

Mixing the products is what it's all about. I throw in glutamine and creatine as well just to add to the mix. When mixing Protein with Weight Gainer, chocolate is chocolate to me. If you mix Chocolate protein with chocolate weight gainer, guess what it tastes like. I also mix Vanilla with chocolate for something different. Throw in a banana and you have Ice Box Cake flavor. YUM. Some other tricks are 2 drops of Peppermint Flavoring from Grocery store into Vanilla shake makes it taste just like Cookies & Cream.

At this point in my Weight Gain quest, I just take the shake for the sake of taking the shake. I gulp it down because I'm kinda sick of taking shakes 3 times a day. I'm not always faithful, but when I am (like the past 5 weeks) I see extraordinary results.

Browse the web for recipes, and don't forget the pudding isle at your grocery store is the best way to come up with great flavors for shakes.
