Well, heavy weight and low reps doesn't say anything about your volume. Most often it's best to stay conservative with volume when trying to gain.
But, for the weight gans drinks, I'm not crazy about them. They tend to contain a lot of simple sugars that you don't really need except for right after your workout to spike insulin. For the rest of the day, that insulin spike will most likely result in more fat than muscle. I prefer a good
protein shake 3 times a day. Have some carbs with the shakes to keep the meals balanced in the macronutrients. Eat every 2-3 hours depending on meal/shake size and alternate meals and shakes.
