Weight lifting pills?

Hello everyone, my name is Chris. I am new to the forums and have a few questions I will be posting and hopefully getting information on. My first question will relate to this forum. I am 18 years old and weight about 150 lbs. I like to lift weights, but here recently other things has gotten my attention and turned me inside out. now im trying to get back into the way of things, and I want to begin with getting back to lifting and actually turning myself into what I have always wanted. I have heard of the supplements, and gells I have tried a few of those things, and they dont seem to work right for me. 1 I believe cause I weight so little a cutting gell dont have to much to work with, and cretine I just dont know what happened there. My ? today is, is there any kinda supplement out there, thats a capsel you would take say 2 time a day or so that helps with getting stronger, and gain some muscle mass as well?? I want to get something to help me, I believe that my will power for lifting has droped off the earth, and maybe a new little weight gainer supplement would get my will power back to par. please help. thanks

-Chris

first up, welcome to the forum. watch out for weight gainers. i tried one and found myself gaining bad weight. check the sugar content, the one i was using had a HUGE amount of sugar. personally from my experiences id try to stick with protein powders, some whey before cardio and after lifting and some soy/egg during the day and before bed, along with a lot of milk. creatine worked for me while i was taking it, but you may be different. if you are looking for something that will help you in the weightroom i suggest spark, or VO2 or thermo E, all of these are made by advocare which my coaches have pounded into my brain to be the best company out there. from my experiences with their products i come to the conclusion they may not be the best but they sure work. hope this helps and good luck.

At this point in your life the most anabolic agent known to man is FOOD. That's right...FOOD. Too many times a lifter turns to supplements like weight gainer, whey protein, and prohormones to illicite the fast gain. These should only be considered to either maintain mass once natural limit has been met or for overcoming plateaus in gains.

My advice would be to eat several SMALL meals throughout the day to train your body for constant hunger. This will help with the overall mass gain. Have you ever noticed that you will still get hungry at the same time daily (when you're late for lunch or whatever)? And if you shift to another schedule you will be hungry at the modified time? This is your body EXPECTING a meal at the usual time. When you eat several small meals you will have the same effect...which will be to get hungry several times per day. Go with about 6 or so meals per day and you will accomodate the new schedule within a month's time.

If after gaining mass and reaching your natural limit you are still considering "other" supplementation along the prohormone/steroidal lines research 1-testosterone and 4-AD. 1-test is a non-aromatizing compound so it will not lend itself to premature fusion of the growth plates but its anabolic effect is tremendous. 4-AD is a prohormone that is once removed from natural testosterone since it has a hyroxy group on C3 versus a keto group. It (4-AD) is converted to testosterone VIA 3HSD enzymatic pathway at the rate of 15% conversion. Although, it is speculated that the molecule has inherent anabolic effect in its UNCONVERTED state simply due to the closeness.

The preferred method of administration for both would be transdermally and NOT orally. 4-AD has an oral survivability (liver first pass yield) of only 5%. Of this 5%, only 15% gets converted to testosterone. For example, 100 mg swallowed will have 5 mg get past the liver. Of this 5 mg, only .75 mg will be converted into testosterone. Sooo, 100 mg of 4-AD ingested orally will only yield .75 mg of testosterone in circulation. Transdermal administration will yield up to 40% absorption so the benefits are obvious. 1-testosterone is an actual "legal" steroid that needs no conversion since it is already in an active form.

Hey, thanks for the replys. I agree alot with Chemo as far as eating food to help me lift in my life. I know that my body is at peak time for growth and thats why im wanting to jump on getting stronger while it is goign to be the easyest to start up and get going. About lifting, how many times should I try and lift a week? If I dont lift that day shoudl I eat as many meals. Small meals does that include like, a sandwhich or chips. I know those meals are the best tasting, like a Big Mac combo or something, but those are not too good for you everyday. What would you recomind to try and change the dietary part of my goals in weight lifting.? Thanks again.

I would go with a three day per week workout. Get yourself 2 workouts that you rotate on lifting days. Day one would be something like Shrugs, seated press, close grip bench, preacher curls, wrist roller. Day two squats, deads, close grip pulldowns, bench press, toe press. Do abs once or twice per week. Start out with three sets making sure to add weight and/or sets whenever possible.

Eat well wether you lift or not. Stay away from chips, Micky D's, cookies, cake, candy, soda, etc. Take sandwiches with you if you can't cook. Cook a big meal and eat leftovers from the night before.
