what not to take with creatine...

I'm not sure if this topic has been posted already, i can't seem to find it.

But if this topic hasn't been posted before, my question is...

What drink/food should not be taken when under creatine. I've read in some articles that creatine should not be taken with "Caffeine", others say not to take it with any kind of juice, and some say not to take it with L-Glutamine at the same time...

Is there anymore?

Thanks!

Well all that is false. Especially the juice part, it is actually best to take it with pure grape juice.

I wold like to see any references to using creatine with caffeine and glutamine showing that absorption rates doesn't differ.

I would not take creatine with caffeine, as caffeine can act like a diuretic in the muscle, drawing water out of it, which is not supportive for creatine uptake.

I once had the chance to ask Lee Labrada what to take creatine with, and he told me that WATER was the best thing to take it with...he said it still gets absorbed just fine and you don't have to worry about simple sugar fat gain. That is just what he told me, so I guess you can take it for what it's worth, but he is a reputable champion bodybuilder, so I would assume he knows his sh*t! LOL!

Thanks for the info guys!

I'm taking this Orange flavored Creatine from Optimum Nutrition. I'm worried coz i've read in some articles that juices high in acid (such as pineapple, orange, lemon, etc) should not be taken with Creatine. So i guess there's nothing wrong with mixing my Orange flavored Creatine with a powdered orange juice such as tang and kool-aid... Just need to mix a little amount to make it a taste a little better... It really tastes like Crap!

I woulden't worry about any acids in your juice hurting the creatine. Your stomach acids are much lower in pH (and therefore much stronger) than any juice.

unless of course you drink something you found in chemistry lab
