Studies that I have seen as far as comparing different protein powders suggests that all are about the same as benefits as long as your getting enough. So I would say just get the cheapest one from a company that you can trust is not just filling it with Nesquick and selling it as protein powder.

I personally love Optimum Nutrition. I get a 5lb tub for $25 (US) at my local gym.

You can also try the flavorless Whey protein from All the whey, it is a good price and a good product. It is what I would be getting if i didnt get such a damn good deal on optimum nutrition heh.

I love Optimum Nutrition the best too. It's simply the best and nothing else beats it!

I just got some All the Whey this week and it is the best I've ever tried. I got the unflavored version, and it is pretty much transparent when you put it in something like choc milk or whatever. Really cheap too!

Just picked up a tub of Syn-Trax Nectar (caribbean cooler flavor) whey isolate. 25 gram scoop has 23 grams of protein which comes out to 92% protein. I'll let you know what the taste is like after tomorrows workout.

Also am very curious to see what any lab results would have for this product.

Ironman.....that's the flavor I tried. Good stuff but like you say it'd be interesting to see how it'd do in lab tests. I wish it didn't have the artificial sweetner in it...but I guess there aren't too many around here that are worried about that.

Just for the sake of posting, I use Balance Muscle Technology 100%whey protein (chocolate or vanilla depends what I feel Like) has 24.7g of protein per 30g scoop. But they didnt have any last week so I got B.M.T 100%pure Ion Exchange Whey which has 28.5g of protein per 30g scoop (no flavour).
Both taste really nice but the 2nd mixes better.
100%whey costs $32 (AU)
100%pure Ion.... costs $39 (AU)

Mag, it is very difficult to find protein powders without artificial sweeteners. The closest I have come to that is using a customizing company and requesting the use of stevia. Even then you would have to mix it with sucralose or something similiar. The protein seemed to work but the taste wasn't that great.

I get it from a shop called Go Vita, I don't know if they are in melbourne. There are a few around NSW so they might be in melbourne. Just have a look around the health food shops around your area, It says on the tub they are distributed throughout australia, I guess you just have to find where.
