The main difference between Nitro Tech and Whey is that the Nitro Tech has creatine inside, that's why you might notice a difference. Before Muscle Tech will hide this in the ingredients, but now you can see it on the Nutritional Facts.
The first type of Whey in Nitro Tech is Whey Concentrate (which has an 80% absorption), then Whey Isolate (which has 90%). Since the Concentrate comes in first on the ingredients, it means that more of it is inside, then Isolate.

Thats not research, it's called Great Marketing!
NitroTech 2lbs (907g)
Out of the 907 grams powder.....68% (620g) is whey protein (mainlly Whey Concentrate)...
Lets say you get 1.5grams of creatine a scoop, you probably will drink 2 scoops or more a day, which will give you 3 grams of creatine. If you drink Nitro-Tech and any other whey protein, you should notice more of a muscle building effect with Nitro-Tech, again is not because of the Whey protein but because of the added creatine.

My wife and I have recently switched to whey isolate from www.allthewhey.com. At some point here in the very near future, I'll be doing a full write up on our experiences with it.

Say, trHawT, note that there are added sugars in that protein.
Solid Whey Vanilla 10 lb. - Solid22
Nutritional Information
Serving Size 31.9 grams
Servings per Container: 71
Calories: 128
-Calories from Fat: 18
Total Fat: 2 g
-Saturated Fat: 1 g
Cholesterol: 45 mg
Sodium: 40 mg
Potassium: 185 mg
Total Carbohydrates: 5.5 g
-Dietary Fiber: 0 g
-Sugars: 2 g
Protein: 22 g
With 142 servings per container (31.9 grams per serving), there are 3124 grams of protein per 10-lbs container. At $32.99 (+5.95 shipping=$38.94), that equals $0.0125 (1.25ΒΆ) per gram.
On the surface it may appear that you're getting a better deal than the protein that I use ( www.allthewhey.com) costing $37.99. Why would anyone seemingly pay ($5.00) more?! - Lower in carbs/sugars and fat
- SAME price per gram of protein
:
Let me explain. - With allthewhey.com protein:
__22 grams protein
__02 grams carbohydrate
__01 gram of fat
__With only 2 grams of lactose, it's pretty fabulous stuff.
Compare that against allsportsnutrition.com protein:
__22 grams protein
__06 grams carbohydrate
__02 gram of fat
- With 160 servings per container (28.4 grams per serving), there are 3520 grams of protein per 10-lbs container. At $37.99 (+5.95 shipping=$43.94), that equals the SAME $0.0125 (1.25ΒΆ) per gram.
Better stuff ... same price.
You could also do what I do ... buy the whey isolate! It's better stuff yet!

Note, ON beats both cursor and trHawT
ON 100% vanilla/strawberry:
80 servings
22g protein/serving
cost /g = 2140/80x22=1.22 cents

Optimun 100% Whey Protein is not really 100%, its just a name... It contains about 78% whey protein which is not bad....
Solid Whey Vanilla 10 lb. contains 70% Whey protein...

You may want to go to www.proteincustomizer.com or www.trueprotein.com and you can design your own for much less. For instance can add hydrolosate and a pure high grade whey isolate. I like a 77/23 blend for post workout. It is not advisable to add much more hydrolosate, the taste gets pretty nasty. They have great micellar proteins, etc. also and great nightime blends. Much less than you will pay for a ready made brand. They also have creatine, aminos, etc. You may do yourself a favor by checking them out.

Can you please give a link or an example of what you would advise, along with the "much lower" price? I'm not doubting what you're saying, the websites are just a bit confusing. You can get ON whey for less than $5/lb, and I hadn't seen anything cheaper than that on the sites.
Thanks.
