Doesn't Optimum 100% Whey have aspartame in it? They do make an aspartame -free alternative I believe, but I think it's more expensive. Am I Wrong?

Optimum 100% Whey uses Acesulfame Potassium, not aspartame...The also have Optimum 100% Whey NATURAL which has (All Natural: No artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners.), but taste is no good that good.

I used to take that VP2 stuff, pay 10-15 bucks extra, but then I tried Optimum Nutrition Whey. Wow, it tastes so much better. And who cares if it contains .05mg less of some amino acid? It gets the job done folks. And the taste...
I'd compare drinking ON with milk to having sex with a woman. It's that good. :

I had tried the natural version last year - it had tasted a bit bitter. Now, they seem to have improved the quality of stevia used, there is a barely noticeable bitter tinge - tastes good :
Stevia is a natural sweetner.

Looks like I made a good choice. I went out and bought some optimum nutrition whey before reading this forum. I got the vanilla flavour, tastes pretty good and mixes very easily into water...

If you happen to have stomach problems at all (gas, etc.) you might switch from Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey to allthewhey.com. Lady C and I certainly glad that we did! :

I thought that was a possible side effect from taking too much whey protein in general. Are you saying it is a possible side effect specific to Optimum Nutrition Whey?

Yes. And it's substantially worse with lower quality whey supplements. The degree to which you are (or are not) affected will depend on your specific body.

Allthewhey isolate is excellent but the purest I have found is Nutrabios whey isolate with a 26gram serving yielding 24gram protein.98% protein I assume?

read the label on a tub of nitrotech, under ingrediants it say 97% whey protein isolate.
Its just good quality whey with a few special ingrediants. Dont get me wrong i think its good protein, its just not the holy grail or anything. Also if you work out the price per serve with 1 scoop its not that expensive at all, but you do only get 21 grams with that.

My vote:
My best pick of protein is Beverly International. I consider it a tie with Optimun protein. You can try both and see which one your body reacts to better. Jeff Everson of Planet Muscle will give you the low down on all the proteins and both of them will be at the top. So check it out if you get the chance.
