what type of creatine should i use??

man i am so confused. there are so many different types of creatine out there. monohydrate, tricreatine, creatine titrate, something like creatine citrate and creatine malate.etc etc. anyways, i am trying to lose a little weight and shed some body fat, and i am taking xenadrine , so i dont want monohydrate since it causes water retention. also, i tried SAN V12 and didnt notice anything. i am on a limited budget as far as supplements i can afford, so i dont wanna waste my money. what types of creatine work best without those unwanted side effects like gaining water weight or bloating?? i am thinking of trying creatine titrate by IDS cuz its only 20 bucks and i can handle spending that even if its a waste but if you guys have any other opinions or experiences with other types, please let me know.

Creatine is not used for losing weight, as most people gain when using creatine. The water retention that you are speaking of is not the same as water bloat. The water that is retained is retained by the muscle. If you are interested in bulking up then Creating Monohydrate is probably the best source of creatine to go with. If that is not your goal maybe you shouldnt use it at all.

All creatine will cause water retention—it's the nature of the beast. If you're looking to lose body fat, then it's probably not appropriate for you to be taking creatine.

Taking creatine as a supplement should be done only when you want to have a little bit higher level of UMPH when doing that last heavy rep or two. By boosting (very temporarily) your energy level (specifically, your ATP stores), you create the opportunity to lift heavier—resulting in more taxed, then developed muscles.
