Welcome aboard You need to give us some more info how much are you working out, Do you have an Idea of your bodyfat %?
I weigh in at about 245 My Fat is about18% and I lift like an Animal.
I take at least 3 shakes a day. I take in much more protein but I do powerlifting noy Body building. This all plays into how much to take.
I would always take some right after a work out no matter what.

I dont know my body fat% off hand but im 255 and not very strong, where could i get that checked? The doctors office, my gym? The way im taking the whey right now is as soon as I wake up, right after my workout, and then right before i go to sleep. I lift to bulk up on monday, wednesday, Friday and Sunday. I run all the other days. Is the way im taking whey helping build my muscles? Should I take a different brand for better effect other than my current GNC 100% Whey Protein. Im not going to take the creatine until I hit the wall which should be quite awhile. My now organized lifting includes the following.

Lat Pulldowns 3x10
Seated Row 3x10
Chest Press 3x10
Pec Fly 3x10
Incline Press 3x10
Shoulder Press 3x10
Arm Extension 3x10
Seated Pushdown 3x10
Arm Curl 3x10
Crunch 3x10

Your gym can check you Fat %. You need to know your Lean body mass.
As for your work out. First off you do have legs so work them.
How long have you been lifting? I feel you are not hitting enough body parts here. How many times a week do you do this workout? Are you ready for a split?
I know more questions to answer.
The 3 times you say you tak the whey is fine but you need to work on your work out now.
No Squats, No Deadlifts!! I hope Chest press is Bench Press.

I have only been lifting for the past week and a half or so. Im new to fitness. The chest press is a bench press but that routine I posted is just what i did the first day at the gym. I lift Monday Wednesday Friday and Sunday and run every off day from lifting. Also, I feel like I have more energy to lift with taking the protein, is it my imagination or not, if not i really like this whey.
