Ummm, I think you may be talking about the hotly debated glutamine/creatine combination there. There was a research study showing that
insulin response and glycogen stores were better when glutamine was used in combination with either wheat or
whey protein compared to straight glutamine alone. So according to this study, adding a carb or protein to l-glutamine is beneficial.
Before and after workout are great times to add l-glutamine to the system. In the morning upon rising is a recommended time in some circles also.
