AST

It's called VP2. I believe the only 100% hydrolyzed whey protein you can find.

Protein Factory

Hydrolyzing protein means to predigest it. And predigested protein is a horrible tasting thing to eat on its own. VP2 is a whey protein isolate. What they mean exactly when they claim "100% Hydrolyzed Whey Fractions" is unclear. But that is part of the marketing scheme of supplement companies - be unclear to confuse the consumer and make your product appear to be better than anything else on the market. VP2 is a whey isolate, one of the best products you can buy. But their ads are full of marketing hype and I am very frustrated because I could not find a nutrient/ingredient label on the site to read from the product.

I'm also pretty sure that most protein bars use "hydrolyzed protein" in them and that is just a fancy way of saying they have put hooves and other relatively hard to digest parts into their product.

I think what you really want shortguy is whey isolate.

Much as AST likes to pick on the other companies, they are big marketers.

VP2 Ingredients: 100% hydrolyzed "oligopeptide" isolated whey peptide fractions consisting of precision engineered whey peptide isolate fractions (beta-lactoglobulin, alpha-lactalbumin, proteose-peptone, glycomacropeptides (GMP), B.S.A., lactoferrin, immunoglobulin, lactoperoxidase, lysozyme, relaxin, lactollin, beta-microglogulin), natural and artificial flavors, aspartame.

Their most recent study, a two group double blind experiment, which was even published, showed VP2 to be twice as effective as standard protein supplements.

What exactly does that mean, especially compairing it to regular CFM whey isolate? I'm pretty sure these listed ingredients (beta-lactoglobulin, alpha-lactalbumin, proteose-peptone, glycomacropeptides (GMP), B.S.A., lactoferrin, immunoglobulin, lactoperoxidase, lysozyme, relaxin, lactollin, beta-microglogulin) are in any whey isolate.

BTW - I'm not trying to sound dumb or combative here, just trying to find out which truths to believe.

And I just found this and am curious about the validity of predigesting a protein: Theoretically, hydrolysates are even more readily absorbed and this is an expensive process to add to any product

It is strange to me that it is only a theory and not been researched.
