Whey protein and creatine??!!

what are the benefits of taking whey protein and creatine together? will that prevent the visual loss of muscle tone that comes from ingesting creatine alone? can anyone tell my what makes it so better to take creatine with whey than taking the two suppplements by themselves?

Not so much a matter of taking them together as it is to take both of them Post Work Out. Whey Protein and Creatine have different purposes and do not interact with each other. Taking them together or separately is your choice.

Not sure what you mean by loss of muscle tone when taking creatine...it actually should increase you muscle tone by making them larger and fuller (packed with water)....as for taking them together...they really have no relationship...they are just two aspects of a POSTwo meal...You need the Protein to help rebuild your muscles, and the creatine is needed for recovery also, and to jam any lost creatine back in your muscles...You will definitely need to take them with some form of carb. also in order to get an insulin release which will then take all of the above to the necessary areas...

So whey and creatine are not really related....they are two different supplements that act independently....but yes you need them both and they are most effective POSTwo....

Creatine will most likely add some weight in water retention. It doesn't have a direct effect on muscle tone'ness' but if you have enough of a water weight gain, it's possible to "lose" some of the definition if I read your question correctly. On the other side of the coin, your muscles WILL get bigger due to this water retention and appear bigger than they would be without it so, that's a bonus.
