workout schedule

so i've had to quit football for a job and now i don't have a coach telling me what to do. i'm not clueless in the weight room but i'd like to hear some suggestions for a 5 day workout. so far i've been doing this: on mondays and thursdays i do an all upper body workout, tuesday and friday are lower body, then wednsday is intense cardio. i've heard of some guys isolating certain lifts like a chest and back day or bis and tris but i'm afraid of overttraining so what would you recommend for someone who wants to be decently cut but increase muscle mass?
