Anyone else using Xanthine-based stimulant Zantrex-3?

I haven't been able to find too much about this product on any of the forums online. I have taken ephedra based products before and had tried the new ephedra-free Hydroxycut. I was prescribed Ritalin and Cylert in various dosages over the course of about ten years. During some of the higher dosages in my late teens I experienced pretty severe weight loss and other collateral effects. I have to admit that I purchased my first bottle of Zantrex-3 based on the sales pitch. I'm pretty disappointed with the new ephedra-free products on the market so I figured it was worth $30 to find out if Zoller Labs was just another clever marketing company. I bought this stuff knowing it would probably be more wasted money; just like so many other supplements.

I don't think I have a sensitive stomach, but I also don't want to be uncomfortable either. I have always followed the guidelines for taking prescribed/over-the-counter stimulants and eaten a fairly healthy meal 10-20 minutes after every dose/serving. Usually 1/2 dozen eggs or chicken breasts... not fast food or meal-replacement/protein shakes.

The first time I tried these little blue gel-caps was after about 4 hours of sleep because I had to get up at 5am that morning. I had breakfast at a diner that day, so while I was waiting for my food I took 2 capsules with a glass of water (obviously on an empty stomach). My food came about 15 minutes later. I had a pretty big first meal for the day but not huge... 4 scrambled eggs, 1 bowl of oatmeal, 1 piece of bacon (oops), 1 one piece of dry wheat toast and approx. 60 oz. of water. About 20 minutes later I was at home working on the computer when the feeling first hit me. I was hummin' like a broken refrigerator! I couldn't believe it. I hadn't felt that warm, "flushed" feeling since I'd quit taking Ritalin. Don't get me wrong... all the other ephedrine/ephedra based products I'd ever tried gave me a bit of elevated heart rate or a "rush" feeling...for a little while... but not after eating so much... and not for that long. It lasted all the way through my next meal and up to the 2nd dosage of the day. I felt like I was on the ragged edge during my workout that first day. I still couldn't believe it. It screwed my gut just a little when I had my serving of creatine and then a protein shake... but not much worse than that stuff normally does.

That was a week ago and I'm still waiting to find some post on the web about how much of a scam Zantrex-3 is... or that it's been recalled... or whatever else. I know what it feels like to be on heavy-duty prescription stimulants and that's almost what this feels like. I'm actually surprised I haven't heard more about this stuff. I'll admit that I have tried many stupid products just because the sales copy was excellent or the so-called testimonials were tear-jerkers. I really am waiting for the other shoe to drop, but, I am going to keep taking this stuff and see what happens. It sure "feels" like something is working... I just don't know what. I've never heard of xanthine-based anything before. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
