Zero Carb Isopure

I was wondering if Zero Carb Isopure is a worthy supplement. It has 50g of protein per serving in 5lb buck for 50-60 bucks...what do you guys think?

Ion exchanged whey isolate is some of the best around, only better quality is the hydrolised whey, but that tastes like ****. Go for it.....it's more than worthy.

It's not a brand it is just how the protein is made, so the quality of it. You will find some brands made by Ion exchange at GNC yeah, hydrolised doesn't taste much like the others because of how it is made....it is thebest quality though.

Optimum 100% Whey seems to have some of the wheys mentioned above plus a thrid kind:

"QuadPlex Protein Blend (Ultrafiltered Whey Protein Concentrate, Cross Flow Microfiltration Whey Protein Isolate, Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate [All Three Sources Contain Concentrations of B-Lactoglobulin, a-Lactalbumen, Bovine Serum Albumen, Immunoglobulins, Glycomacropeptides, Lactoferrin, Lactoperoxidase, Other Closely Related Protein Molecules and Glutamine Peptides], Low Molecular Weigh and Partially Hydrolyzed Whey Peptides), Cocoa, Artificial Flavor, Acesulfame Potassum."

Ultrafiltered Whey Protein Concentrate

Cross Flow Microfiltration Whey Protein Isolate

Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate

Whats up with all the mumbo jumbo marketing names for these types of whey?

From Protein Factory :

MICRO-ULTRA FILTRATION WHEY ISOLATE: A gentle physical process of cross-flow ultra filtration and advanced micro filtration, creates a highly soluble whey protein isolate which retains higher levels of calcium than the traditional ion exchange process. The powder is a white color with a light texture. Protein concentration is usually greater than 90%.

CROSS FLOW MICRO (CFM) WHEY CONCENTRATE: Whey protein isolate is the cleanest form of whey protein. Isolation of the whey, using cross-flow microfiltration is the next processing step after concentration. It has a higher protein per serving ratio than whey concentrate . Whey isolates yield over 90 grams of protein per 100 grams of whey. It is virtually fat and lactose free. Whey isolate yields a higher amount of BCAA, half of which come from the essential amino acids. Extremely digestible with a good taste. Concentrates usually run from 70% to 85% protein

ION EXCHANGE WHEY: Manufactured from fresh, sweet dairy whey. Using the ion-exchange process the proteins are separated on the basis of their electrical charge. The extraction works by controlling the electrical charge on the proteins using chemical reagents. The electrical charge on the proteins attaches them to resins in the reaction vessel. The product contains the proteins beta-lactoglobumin and alpha-lactalbumin. It is instantized and mixes very easily with a spoon. It is also fat and lactose free. Ion Exchange whey usually has a protein content of 93% or higher.

HYDORLYZED WHEY PROTEIN: The most digestible source of whey protein developed for human consumption. A hydrolyzed whey is partially digested to make them more accessible for human digestion. The protein molecules are split into smaller groups called peptides. The amino acids are called peptide bonded. Described as a highly purified protein enzymatically hydrolysated to form whey peptides. The benefits of whey protein isolate are combined with the hydrolysated whey peptides extremely solubility and nutrition benefits.
